Big Basin Redwoods, Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, the Monterey Aquarium

These days we are practically living outdoors. We recently vacationed camping in the Big Basin Redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains, with day trips to the Santa Cruz boardwalk amusement park and the great Monterey Aquarium...as well as the Marin County Fair and Fireworks! (I need a vacation from my vacation!)
Grace has a summer filled with a variety of weekly summer camps and vacations: SPCA, animal care...getting ready to adopt a dog in the fall; a week in Hornby Island with Betsy; a week camping with Phern (see photos); an Acrosports Dance Camp; two weeks of the SF Zoo Camp...photos coming up. In the meantime, our backyard is producing blackberries like we have never seen before, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil and lettuce...everything is blooming. Fish in the pond are jumping, Leo the cat is digging into the garden, and Grace is busy scootering, biking, and roller blading up and down the street. Her friend Finn says to neighbors, "If you have lived on the street a week you know Grace". She is what I call "the mayor of Peralta Avenue.
