This bald eagle lives right here at the SF Zoo on a little island. He/she cannot fly...she just hangs out on and around this tree. Grace took this shot.
Since Grace went to Zoo camp last summer, she became well acquainted with Andy and Pica, the two polar bears, who came out of their cave for Grace to take this shot on President's Day.
Grace took this shot while walking around Bernal Hill on a beautiful day. You can see the Bay Bridge in the distance...as well as downtown San Francisco.
Self-portrait of me and Marta...Grace. Note from Phern: photos are changing quickly on the blog...be sure to check 'previous posts' and 'archives' for more.
Grace is pretending she is one of those sculptured lions that adorn the front of some houses. After posting this, Grace informed me that she is a 'Tiki" from Lilo and Stitch...you know a Hawaiian tiki totem?
Grace's photo of our backyard...nice composition. This is papyrus grass that is growing in our pond. The koi in the pond have been hibernating during the winter...at least I hope so. I'll let you know when we see them.
Grace took this photo of me at her pool table. We love playing this game...the table size is just right for both of us. This table also becomes a ping pong table and a slide hockey table. So far, we are mastering pool.
Today, Friday, February 11, Grace celebrated Chinese New Year at her school, Alice Fong Yu. I was able to get her to pose behind this cute Snoopy, year of the dog, cut-out.
