Last Days of Summer

Posted by PicasaOn Friday we picked the first tomatoes. It has always been a tradition to record this moment since reading Rosemary Wells' "Voyage to the Bunny Planet", a collection of small books for children (and others), one of which is called First Tomato.

Stinson Beach

Posted by PicasaHere I am enjoying the fog at Stinson Beach...or trying to.

Posted by PicasaWetsuits made everything possible. Mina and Grace could care less about the foggy weather. They were in the water for 2-3 hours at a time.

Posted by PicasaNo zoom on my cell phone camera for this shot, but we are viewing about 50 seals relaxing in the shallow lagoon.

12 Annual Adoption Reunion...more summertime photos

Posted by PicasaHere we have Grace and Emily going all the way in the ocean waves on Saturday, July 31 in Half Moon Bay. You know that water was cold!

Posted by PicasaPhern and Nancy begin the weekend with our adoption group/extended family at the Macaroni Grill in San Mateo.

Posted by PicasaRenee Roth and Mina Ching take off on the trail ride...Renee cannot believe that she is actually doing this.

Posted by PicasaAfter a horse ride we picnicked at Half Moon Bay State Beach...I was completely amazed that the sun shined on us...it has been the dreariest, foggiest, cold summer that I can ever remember in San Francisco.

Posted by PicasaOn Saturday morning we gathered in Half Moon Bay for a trail ride along the beach. In our group of approximately 40 people, 21 rode horses, including yours truly! I must say that Grace was the most experienced rider.

Posted by PicasaGrace and Emily B go all the way in at Half Moon Bay State Beach.

Posted by PicasaAnother miracle of Mother Nature: the sun shined at our hotel, the San Mateo Marriott. I highly recommend it: the pool was 85 degrees, the girls played water polo.
