Thursday, May 11: Parents visit the classroom at Alice Fong Yu

Grace is getting ready to go to school on Thursday morning. First she will go on a field trip to the San Francisco Symphony, and then get ready for Open House. Above she is with her teacher, Victoria Gong, who she really likes. Also there are a couple of water color paintings she made hanging in her classroom.

 

 

 

 

 

Sunday in the garden

This series of photos show the recent harvest of our veggie bed...Mina and Grace are picking carrots, swiss chard and green onions...a beautiful bounty. Now I will get the bed ready for summer vegetables: tomatoes, peas, and probably more onions...basil, too.
It was the most beautiful Sunday weather, even Leo the cat is enjoying it.

A Day at the San Francisco Zoo

On a foggy day in San Francisco the zoo calls out to Grace. She is an expert guide and knows where all the animals live. Last year she went to a week of Zoo Camp, and this summer she will go for 2 weeks. She wants to be a zoologist when she grows up. Who knows?!
