Mother's Day 2013...the best!

 

Here we both are in the middle of a gorgeous San Francisco day having just returned from our first (hopefully annual) Mother's Day Brunch.

 

Grace and I walked a few blocks from the car to the restaurant in the Castro, and she had to take a look at Pottery Barn.  We both loved these "County Fair Drinking Jars"...so she got them for me as a gift. Another gift was that Grace vacuumed the whole house on Saturday...upstairs and downstairs.  Thanks Grace.  I think she still has something in mind for later today...scones?...cupcakes?

 

The County Fair theme is posted in our kitchen.  We always go to the Marin County Fair...looking forward to this year.

 

On our walk in the Casro neighborhood we spotted this little car...a Morris Minor?, not sure.

We had Mother's Day brunch at Catch, a seafood restaurant on Market and Castro.  Yum!  It was Grace, Betsy, Clare, and me.  We had crab sandwiches, omelettes, salads and mimosas...Grace had Orange Mango Agua juice.

 

Sister Nancy brought calla lilies and a fabulous To My Sister card for Mother's Day on Friday night.

 

Our garden is bursting out all over, but the most magnificent is this climbing rose tree.
