10 Most Toxic Fruits and Vegetables

Organic and conventional produce may look the same — but, as a new study from the Environmental Working Group makes clear, looks can be deceiving.

Conventional produce is loaded with pesticides that you can't see. And not all fruits and veggies are created equal: Different growing practices mean that some items contain more pesticide than others.

The worst offenders are: peaches, apples, bell peppers, celery, nectarines, strawberries, cherries, kale, lettuce and imported grapes.

So if money is tight and you can't buy all organic, at least opt for organics when you're buying these items to avoid some nasty health risks.
