Our annual China adoption families reunion

Grace, Auntie Nancy and I drove to Ventura and Ojai for our 11th annual reunion of all the families who traveled together to China for the adoption of our daughters. The girls had a great sleepover on Friday night at the Roth's beautiful home in Ojai...where they slept outdoors in tents, and then we all spent the day at the beach in Ventura. Here we are after huge Chinese dinner on Saturday night. Posted by Picasa

We stayed at the lovely, remodeled Pierpont Inn in Ventura, where you have views of the beach and an Arts & Crafts style decor.

It looks like the kids are playing Marco Polo in the hotel pool. These kids see each other, for the most part, once a year...but now with cell phones and email, they are making a different kind of connection.

The Marin Conty Fair

We love going to this fair...it is usually the first week in July with fireworks every night. From the ferris wheel you have a fantastic view of Mt. Tamalpais.
